    Tommy Flyer Final

    Tommy Flyer Final

A new poster with additional photos of Tommy and his microchip information has just been sent to me. This poster is a testament to the dedication of Josie to Tommy. From information from previous leads, it is strongly believed that someone picked Tommy up and took him home. The hardest part will be to convince the person who took him that he is better off at his original home.

The three thousand dollar reward hopefully motivates someone who has seen him or knows who has him to help bring Tommy home.

Please print off this poster and show it to your friends, family and neighbours, maybe someone you know has seen Tommy and did not know he was a missing dog.

    Tommy Just days before

Tommy has been missing since May 24, 2009 when he was let off leash by a dog walker, while his owners were out of the country.

Over the past few weeks there have been several tips and leads, including some that helped a specially trained tracking dog to follow his scent from a last seen location to a shopping mall several km away. The fact that the scent went cold at Shoppers World and that the sighting and tips slowed down, it was believed that someone must have picked Tommy up and took him home. The reward was tripled from $1000 to $3000.

With media attention on CityTV, ads and stories about Tommy’s disappearance in community papers like Beach Metro News, The Mirror, and even the Toronto Star and National Post newspapers.  Even with those efforts, new tips were far and few between.  Within the past few days, there have been independent sightings in the Sutton /Jackson Point, Ontario area, from people who had seen the ad in the free commuter paper “Metro”. With these new sightings out of town, the original theory that Tommy had been taken are beginning to prove true.

If you live or cottage in the area of Sutton/Jacksons Point, please call us if you see Tommy. If your tip leads us to Tommy, we will be happy give you the $3000 reward.

Now that Tommy has been missing for over 2 weeks and the leads have steadily declined, it is becoming more obvious that someone has taken Tommy into their home.

If you have any information that will help bring Tommy home, you will be hansomly rewarded.

Today around 11 am, while filming a segment for CityTV news (A news story about Matthew Johnson and how his scent tracking dog services is helping search for Tommy), a call came in about a pottential spotting of Tommy. The news story was being filmed behind Zellers at Danforth and Victoria Park, as it was the last place the scent tracking dog had followed Tommy’s scent to.

Someone believed they may had seen Tommy in Webster Park (Dawes Road and Chapman Ave), which was only minutes away from where Tommy was last tracked to. Everyone including the the Matthew and his tracking dog, Lee Johnson, the lead investigator, and even the News Videographer proceeded to the location of the newest spotting. The Tracking dog was able to briefly pick up a scent, but do to the fact the grass in the park was in the process of being cut, the scent trail was not as strong and windblown. Unfortanately the scent was lost.

Tommy Just days before he went missing

Tommy is an 18 month old Shitsu Poodle cross, Tommy weighs 18lbs and has medium to dark colouring. Tommy is a very important family member. While Tommy is great with family and close friends, he is not easily approachable by strangers.

If you spot Tommy, please contact us as soon as possible and do not try to capture him, as he may bolt. We have several family members who are on call to come to where he is, as he will come willingly to them.

Tommy first went missing on May 24th. The person walking him was a dog walker who was boarding him while his family was out of town.  This person was walking Tommy in a park off of Chine Drive overlooking the Scarborough bluffs.   When they allowed Tommy to run off leash, Tommy bolted and ran up Chine Drive.

Tommy was seen on Wednesday the 27th of May in the Danforth Road and Birchmount area.

He was then spotted on Saturday May 30th at Danforth Avenue and Dawes Road area.

With the help of tracker dogs, Tommys scent was picked up and followed to a parking lot behind Shoppers World at Danforth and Victoria Park.
